2000 – Gladiator
Gladiator» is an epic film. Crowe plays Maximus Decimus Meridius, a loyal Hispanic general in the army of the Roman Empire who is betrayed by Commodus. Forced into slavery, Maximus triumphs as a gladiator while longing to avenge the death of his family and the emperor.
2001 – A Beautiful Mind
It tells the life story of John Forbes Nash, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1994. The story begins in the early life of the young mathematical prodigy, who begins to develop paranoid schizophrenia and suffer from delusions, and sadly experiences how this affects his physical condition and his family and friendship relationships.
2002 – Chicago
The promise of adventure and opportunity that Chicago offers dazzles Roxie Hart, an innocent, outgoing young woman who dreams of singing and dancing her way out of her drab life. Her dream is to follow in the golden footsteps of Velma Kelly, a vaudeville singer. A series of wrong decisions land both women in prison. There, they both try to make their court case the center of attention of both the Chicago press and a prestigious and handsome lawyer.
2003 – The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
It is the final showdown between the forces of good and evil fighting for control of the future of Middle-earth. Frodo and Sam arrive in Mordor on their quest to destroy the One Ring, while Aragorn and Gandalf lead the forces of good against Sauron’s army of evil in the stone city of Minas Tirith.
2004 – Million Dollar Baby
The film tells the story of Frankie Dunn, a veteran boxing trainer who is at the end of his career running a gym with the help of Scrap, a former boxer and his only friend. One day, Maggie Fitzgerald enters the gym with the sole desire to reach the top of boxing and for Frankie to train her.
2005 – Crash
The film depicts contemporary instability and despair in the city of Los Angeles in the historical setting between the fall of the Twin Towers in 2001 and the 2004 presidential election.
