The fifth season of the acclaimed series will arrive on Netflix this November, and while the final details are being ironed out, filming is underway on what will be the final and sixth season of the series.
Princess Diana as the main character
The sixth season was not in the initial plans of director Peter Morgan, the original idea was to end the series at the dawn of the 21st century, but finally »The Crown» will enter fully in the decade of 2000 to 2010, and Princess Diana will be one of its protagonists.
Focusing on the Princess’s life, not her death
Elizabeth Debicki will play Diana, who is at the epicentre of this season. Despite this, the creators have already stated that they will not delve into the death of the then Princess of Wales.
Filming in Mallorca
We have already seen the film crew in Barcelona, now they have moved to another place in Spain, the island of Mallorca. There they filmed Lady Di’s last summer with Dodi Al-Fayed, before the fateful accident in Paris in which they both lost their lives. In Mallorca the filming has moved to the high seas, where they have recorded the famous scenes of the Princess of Wales on a yacht.

Since 9 November, the fifth season of the successful production about the British royal house has been on Netflix, with a huge following around the world, and it has done so just two months after the death of Elizabeth II, the great protagonist of »The Crown».
