Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016, and it was finalized in 2019.

Along with an ongoing custody battle, Pitt first sued Jolie over the sale of Chateau Miraval, the vineyard they bought in France, in February 2022.
Actor claims Jolie seeks to harm him
In June of that year, he doubled down on his accusations of Jolie intentionally trying to inflict damage on him and his business when the actress secretly sold her share of the vineyard.

Pitt and his team have called Angelina Jolie «vindictive.»
The initial solution was not implemented
Being a property shared by both, the solution that initially seemed to be established, according to the documents, was for Angelina Jolie to sell her share of the vineyard, which she did not want to know more about, to Pitt.

All that changed, the documents allege, in the summer of 2021.
Angelina Jolie allegedly sold her share of the property in secret
In the midst of the child custody dispute with Pitt, Jolie put an end to those talks and intended to secretly sell her 50 percent stake in the family home and family business to Tenute del Mondo, an alcoholic beverage conglomerate.
They learned of the sale through the press
Pitt’s team claims it learned of Jolie’s putative sale to Stoli through a press release.
Negatively interfering in Brad Pitt’s business
The documents allege that this sale was an attempted hostile takeover of Brad Pitt’s business by the conglomerate, as they were attempting to gain access to confidential and proprietary information for the benefit of a competing company.
Actor demands jury trial
With all of this Pitt demands a jury trial.
Sources close to the actress say the reality is different
On the other hand, sources close to Angelina Jolie have informed the U.S. media ET that the reality is quite different.
Jolie was not going to accept being silenced
«The reality is that Pitt refused to complete the sale of Miraval with Jolie unless she agreed to be hushed up about the abuse,» the source disclosed.
Brad Pitt allegedly assaulted Angelina Jolie and their children
«No matter how many times Mr. Pitt amends his complaint, he cannot escape the fact that he verbally and physically assaulted Ms. Jolie and her children, including choking one of the children and beating another,» the same source reports.
The actress has always wanted to preserve her identity
