Some are major productions
Some of the productions include »Big House» or the Netflix crime series »Marseille».
The actor denies the facts
For their part, Depardieu’s lawyers have issued a statement on behalf of their client » He formally denies all charges likely to fall under criminal law».
An investigation lasting several months
According to Médiapart, the findings are the result of an investigation lasting several months, prompted by rumors and complaints on social networks about Depardieu’s treatment of women.
One of them had indeed denounced Depardieu.
Among the 13 women who allegedly suffered this indecent sexual behavior is French actress Charlotte Arnould, who filed rape charges against the actor in 2018.
Directors and producers deny knowledge of the facts
Several directors and producers involved in the productions cited in the report have also made statements denying any knowledge of Depardieu’s actions.
Denounces film and television culture for ignoring the facts
In this regard, the report, in addition to containing detailed testimonies, some of them anonymous, denounces the culture of cinema and television for turning a blind eye to Depardieu’s behavior and actions.
Fear of reporting due to possible repercussions
The report also notes that some of the complainants had not had the courage to denounce Depardieu’s actions for fear of the reactions they might arouse and of not being able to return to work.
