A sexual assault case has been filed against the actor.
The Los Angeles Police Department has filed a sexual assault case against actor Armie Hammer with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for possible prosecution.
The case stems from the 2021 accusations.
NBC News reports that the case in question stems from existing sexual assault allegations against Hammer in 2021.
It was in May 2021 that the testimonies of several women began to come to light.

The woman, whose identity is kept secret, told her truth through attorney Gloria Allred.
Hammer’s lawyer slams allegations as attention seeking
For his part, Hammer’s attorney has issued a statement saying that these allegations are »attention-seeking and ill-advised legal action.»
The events took place between 2016 and 2017
In a press release in 2021, Effie, that’s the name the woman identified herself by, alleged, »I met Armie Hammer on Facebook in 2016 when I was 20 years old. I instantly fell in love with him, the relationship progressed quickly and emotions for both of us became very intense».
The woman’s statement goes into detail
«He abused me mentally, emotionally and sexually,» the woman alleged. «On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer indiscriminately sexually assaulted me for more than four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slammed my head against the wall, leaving my face bruised. He also committed other acts of violence against me, to which I did not consent,» are the statements of the young woman who denounces the actor.
Violent behavior, abuse and aggression
«During those four hours, I tried to escape and he wouldn’t let me,» she alleged, adding, «I thought he was going to end my life.»
Hammer’s lawyer argues that the actor’s relationships have always been consensual
Hammer’s attorney denies his claims in their entirety «From day one, Mr. Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions (with Effie), and with all of his other partners, have been completely consensual.»
Hammer spoke out for the first time in February, after two years of silence
In February, Hammer spoke out for the first time since he was accused by several women two years earlier in an interview with Air Mail Weekly.
The alleged aggression, a planned scene, according to the actor
Hammer addressed Effie’s claims and told Air Mail Weekly that the alleged assault was actually a «scene» that he claims they meticulously planned in advance through Facebook Messenger conversations.
The messages that would exonerate him have not been recovered.
Hammer claims that he deleted those messages and that his lawyers have tried to retrieve them, so far, without success.
Hammer claims that Effie was unhappy because he did not plan to leave his wife
Hammer has stated that his relationship with Effie lasted until the summer of 2017, and that the relationship deteriorated when Effie realized that he never intended to leave his wife, Elizabeth Chambers
Similarly, the marriage between Hammer and Chambers ended in 2020.
Finally, and after 10 years of marriage, and after all the shady information about Hammer came to light, he and Chambers separated in July 2020.
