When Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were first spotted last year on the set of Greta Gerwig’s new film Barbie, their neon, and more specifically pink, styles gave birth to a growing trend called «Barbiecore».

The colorful images caught everyone’s attention and raised expectations, especially in terms of the film’s visual style, sky high.
Pink, a color in trend
But not only that, it also made pink a trend-setter. Designers, street style stars and celebrities went for pink in all its shades, but especially bubblegum pink, pastel pink and neon pink.
Acting couple keeps pink in their looks
Now, Robbie and Gosling continue to wear pink. The celebrities kicked off the press tour for Gerwing’s film at CinemaCon in Las Vegas wearing complementary ensembles with pink as the centerpiece. Not surprisingly, the actors are taking advantage of their outfits to allude to their roles and will likely continue to do so at more premieres and screenings.

Robbie evoked Barbie’s striking aesthetic in a Prada bra top and mini skirt outfit, completed with pink Christian Louboutin heels.
Ryan Gosling, with a very Ken look
Gosling, meanwhile, reflected Ken’s carefree style with a pink bomber jacket, a T-shirt that read «Greta Gerwig» in Barbie doll font, a charming homage to the director, skinny jeans and rugged safari boots.
