First images of the new Harley Quinn
Warner Bros. has gone to great lengths to keep the production of the upcoming Joker sequel starring Joaquin Phoenix under wraps. However, with the use of actual filming locations and the power of social media, there have been few surprises for moviegoers planning to see Joker: Folie à Deux.
Filming in New York
If a few weeks ago we saw Phoenix shooting an intense scene between cars, now the first images of Lady Gaga in full Harley Quinn character while shooting scenes for Todd Phillips’ film in New York have been unveiled.
The essence of the character
The singer has managed to capture the essence of the character, sheathed in a diamond print shirt reminiscent of traditional harlequins, as well as with the disheveled makeup characteristic of the comic book character. Interestingly, her co-star Joaquin Phoenix did not appear in the photos.
One of the villain’s companions in Arkham
While in the comics, Harley Quinn is the Joker’s psychiatrist before becoming his mistress, rumors suggest that in Joker: Folie à Deux, she will be one of the villain’s companions during his stay at Arkham. However, since the script is being kept under wraps, we will have to wait until the film’s release to see if this information is true.
Much expectation
Warner Bros. is clearly trying to build buzz around the film by slowly revealing bits and pieces of information about the production, but it remains to be seen whether the final product will live up to the expectations of fans and critics.
We are certainly looking forward to seeing the final result of this exciting story that will bring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga together. The film is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024.
