Shakira has achieved the best Latin premiere on YouTube reaching more than 33 million plays in less than 24 hours, surpassing the platform’s record held until now by Luis Fonsi’s ‘Despacito’.
Session 53′ with Bizarrap has improved several release figures in these first 24 hours, including those achieved by any track by the Argentinean artist. On YouTube, with 16 hours elapsed, it has already registered 253,256 comments.
The song is trending number one on this platform in Spain, but also on Twitter, with ‘Shakira and Bizarrap’, ‘RIP Piqué’ or ‘Clara-mente’ among the trending topics. Bizarrap’s tweet announcing the release along with a fragment of the song has almost 8 million reproductions.
It has also been retweeted by 85,000 users (including Shakira herself), with more than 10,000 comments and 439,500 ‘favorites’. On Instagram, the video uploaded by the Argentine producer already has 6.5 million ‘likes’ and more than 275,000 comments.
